If you want a pc for only specific important tasks and not for stuff like softwares , games , tweaking etc ..then one may opt for linux as it is 5 times less virus prone than windows so more secure ...it is cheaper ...

Strictly speaking, therefore, a comparison between the cost of the Linux license and the cost of a Microsoft server operating system license should have a zero on the Linux side and some number greater than Rs 6000, depending on hardware, usage and the number of clients allowed, on the Windows side.
So , linux is not that bad to try , but mr. Gates allways lead the prefrences ...
